Today we celebrated the Graduation of the 12th class of Young Mothers Computer Literacy at EBLI. 51 students received their certificates today, as well as 6 students of Steve Pope's English class. The students thrilled the audience with shows, dances, songs and speeches.
We thank all teachers - but today especially SongYi Yoo - staff members of EBLI, Terre des Hommes Schweiz and Bernard Makachia for their support and hard work and all students for their effort and passion in learning. We wish you all good luck and all the best for the future! Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things to do particularly to a person you have worked with for a considerable time and years. On October 18th, 2017, EBLI had a goodbye lunch to bid farewell to SongYi Yoo a KOICA volunteer who worked for two and half years at EBLI. Song as we popularly called her has trained 200 young mothers in computer literacy and was also responsible for the upgrading of the Computer lab. Our prayers and thoughts will accompany her as she embarks on another journey in her life back in Korea.
As we celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child, EBLI believes that everybody deserves a second chance. Especially the girls who have dropped from the school system due to pregnancy.
