To that end, EBLI has partnered with Simusolar, an organization dedicated to bringing affordable solar energy to rural Africa, including right here in the Mwanza Region of Tanzania. Members of the Simusolar team visited the EBLI office for a half-day introduction about solar energy and the products offered by Simusolar. After the session, 13 young mothers previously trained in computer literacy and business skills by EBLI were invited to a three-day Simusolar training, with the opportunity for some of them to gain employment with this up and coming social enterprise.
Additionally, EBLI is looking to engage more intensively in the solar energy space, by participating in a joint proposal with Simusolar and the African Solar Fund to take the lead and train 4,000 women in clean energy, entrepreneurship and computers, and equip them with clean energy starter kits.
We at EBLI are passionate about empowering those in our community to create a better future for themselves, and are excited to share these updates with you!
